What Others Had To Say :

This book is spicy and fun! The misadventures of Lexi and Laya combined with the hot steamy sex scenes kept me from putting this book down. There were too many “did that just really happen” scenes. Loved the book and highly recommend!

The Way Back To Me

His eyes are on fire. He pushes me back through the door and locks it. “Oh, Lexi. You were taking too long in here.” Ordinarily this type of thing would scare the hell out of me, but he makes it seem so fucking hot. I put my hands up in protest, but he grabs them as he pushes me against the restroom wall. Raising my hands above my head with one hand, he strokes my face with the other all the while pressing his body against mine. I can feel that his dick is fully erect and ready for business, which only causes my pussy to become a traitor to my body. “If you don’t want to do this, all you have to do is say no. I’ll walk out of here like nothing happened and I will take you back to your car.” He whispers this in my ear and for some reason I believe him. “What do you say, Lexi? Yes or No?” I can barely hear myself mumble yes. That’s all the good doctor needed to hear.

Author Bio:

I am a stay-at-home mom for the second year in a row. My three young children keep me on my toes as well as our crazy dog and hamster. Thank goodness I have such a loving and supportive husband!!

Writing has been my secret goal that I put on my bucket list of things to do before I hit 40. As my loving sister pointed out to me last summer, I turn 40 in a few short months. There are definitely things that were on the bucket list that I had to just remove. For instance, I will never be a size 6 again. I removed it from my list by tearing it off and shredding it.

However, writing was one that I just couldn’t bring myself to erase from the list. Knowing this about me, my sister pushed and prodded me to just start writing something…she strongly suggested something with adult content.

So caving to her pressure, I started to write The Way Back To Me. I gradually pulled her into the writing process as she had spent an enormous amount of time reading “mommy porn” and together we completed The Way Back To Me in November 2012. We have already started a sequel that should be ready to go by the end of February 2013.

I am also in the beginning process of another romance novel that I hope to complete by the summer of 2013.

This book was funny, sexy and very heartfelt. I get nervous reading erotica these days because the subject matter seems to follow in a similar pattern. Millionaire BDSM dude waltz in and takes away the virginity of some ‘doe-in-headlights’ young woman. The first couple of books I read like that I enjoyed, but when the trend in literature was the same format being re-used and re-hashed, well I grew tired of it. I want to read about real people with real problems trying to find their way in world.

The Way Back to Me was a very refreshing change of pace. The book centers around 39 year old divorcee and mother of 3, Lexi Reynolds. Poor Lexi is still licking her wounds that she suffered at the hands of her ex husbands infidelity. She is lonely and a little lost. I could immediately sympathize and relate to Lexi. She spent so much time building her family and supporting her husband that after they divorced, Lexi was a shell of her former self. No confidence, no career, and no happy ending, It isn’t until her sister, Layla, intervenes that Lexi starts to find the way back to herself.

I love the relationship between Lexi and Layla. They could throw punches one minute and hug and laugh the next. They do not sugarcoat each others problems and are always there for one another. The situations those two get into are hilarious and cringe worthy. There were a couple moments where I was shaking my head and laughing so hard. Especially one moment involving a ‘schooch’ moment. Trust me, read the book. I was in hysterics. Layla forces Lexi to take a look in the mirror and rejoin life again, instead of letting it pass her by. Layla is a sister in the truest sense of the word. She is supportive, honest, and has Lexi’s best interests at heart.

In the midst of Lexi’s new self discovery, she encounters not only one but two sexy, successful men. First, there is retired athlete Patrick Dane. Dane has Greek god looks and the chemistry between him and Lexi is off the charts, but Dane is still dealing with a few ghosts of his own. Second, there is Sebastian Cameron, sexy and domineering surgeon. He is bossy, infuriating but oh sooooo yummy. But is he enough for Lexi? Both are appealing and delicious but I am Team Sebastian here 🙂

And last but not least we are introduced to Lexi’s 3 amazing daughters Sasha, Marie, and Olivia. They are the center of Lexi’s world and I can understand why. They are funny, sweet and the moments Lexi shared with them made me love this story even more. Lexi is a wonderful mother and what I loved most about this book was her trying to find herself in every role in her life; as a single mother, as a career woman, as a lover, and most importantly as herself.

The Way Back to Me was an honest story about real people. I didn’t spend my time reading about impossible fairy tales with unrealistic characters. What I read was one woman’s attempt to figure who she is after her expectations of happily ever after ended, and how she ended up finding herself along the way. I cannot wait for the next book!
